Marlin 780

[Canucky]

Went shooting in Forest Hill this past Sunday. Got to shoot this Marlin 780, I would like to buy this young guy a few new 7 round mags. Google Foo is weak. Midway had them for $12.99 now discontinued Anybody have a link to these little buggers? Thanks.

I see ebay has alot for sale. But the one the kid had didn't look like them. Will verify model model and update as needed.

I beleave what you need are the old style mags with the release built into the mag it self as opposed to having the mag release stay on the gun. The last two times Ive bought them I got a few from Marlin and a few from Sportsmans Guide.

Here's a very poor pic but this is it.

Here's a better pic and a good price on a used one.

My first rifle that was worth anything was a Marlin M80, which served me well - right up until it got stolen from me. I still miss it. I've replaced it with another Marlin, an m25, but still...
