Has anyone shot the Mossberg Tactical .22 carbine?

Has anyone here shot the Mossberg Tactical .22 based on their 702 Plinkster?

I like Mossberg, but was not impressed with their 702 Tactical. Felt kind of "cheap" to me. If you want a nice tactical looking .22, check out the Sig 522.

Haven't shot one, but I would save my pennies to buy the S&W M&P 15-22 just because the controls are similar to an AR.

If you don't have an AR and never will, then I wouldn't worry about it.

Having the safety where the mag release should go would bother me most.

Never shot it. Almost bought one, but then decided on my 10/22 TD.

X2. I was looking at several tacticools with my son. The Mossberg is kinda cheapo. Sights even kinda sucky. It's a lot of plastic and feels plasticy. Just not on par and at their price I'd go 10/22 and add on tech sights. Way better.

I found a great deal on used mp15-22 so went that route to complement my 10/22. Who am I kidding. He can have the 10/22. I get the mp!!

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

Thanks for the insight. The Umarex/Colt felt clunky/heavy/fake. The S&W was much nicer although I think the magazines are a bit out there, as is the price. The SIG seems to be of excellent build quality, but its LOP is too short for me and I can't get a good cheek weld.

I have one, yeah it's cheap feeling but it looks alright and is pretty accurate. I've shot over 1000 rounds of cheap stuff through it without cleaning it and 0 issues. But is probably just get a 10/22 or that ATI omni 22 with a real ar lower

Not impressed with this rifle. more problems than any other tac .22. I have the Sig 522 and love it. Bought it on sale at Turner's last year. Just remember you get what you pay for.

My buddy has one, we both agree that you'd be better off buying a 10/22

Not really. They were blowing-out SIG's some time ago, dirt cheap. If the LOP would have fit me, I might have bought one.

Further, there is really no way the S&W 22 is worth 2x that of a 10/22.

i was going to buy one and then i heard it all... "...it is an abortion of a rifle."

if youre looking to buy something tactical looking.

m&p 15-22 is complete and very good.

my route, i put one on back order from turners and started building a dedicated .22 upper for one of my ar15 lowers. probably the best way to go for getting something in your hands to shoot tomorrow.

I have one and couldn't be happier.
I bought a used scope and I can shoot the teats off of a fly (female) at 50 yards.
If you are concerned about what your shooting buddies will say, don't buy it. The peer pressure may be too much.
If you do buy it, PM me and I'll tell you how to get the mojambo size magazines for it on the DL.
