I want to give props to Randy for his work..used him on several projects and just amazed at his work...just expect the packages comes back with Cigar smell for that extra added attention to detail.

Congrats! You got a great one! Nice early model 1022 Sporter with a very nice walnut checkered stock.
Unless you're looking to make tack driver out of it, a simple drop in hammer by Power Custom or VQ will be easily accomplished for cheap ($35.00) and bring your trigger pull down from 6+ lbs to 3ish.
A mag release is simple to make or cheap to buy.
Here's some I modified.

Also get a pull through cleaning device for the barrel. Many of us make our own from weed eater/wacker line.

For right now, I think I'll start with the bho and mag release. I kinda like a heavier trigger for now, but I'd like to reduce the creep and gritty feel.

Good idea to keep the original stock parts unaltered. The BHO and mag release are inexpensive parts to buy. As far as liking the "heavier trigger", the stock "Ruger lawyer" trigger is around 6~8# heavy! You will eventually opt for a Brimstone or KIDD setup. Ask me how I know!

Fully modded my 10/22 (the only part that is still Ruger is my receiver...and that is changing soon!)...sold all of the stock parts and never ever considered converting it back to 100% stock.

You can...once...with a large rock!

They are glued/plastic welded shut so you cannot. The BX-25 and TI can be.

Welcome to the most enjoyable money pit you will ever own. The first thing I would do is the trigger. You can have Brimstone do it for $35 which is less than the Volquartsen hammer kit and get a better trigger out of it. They will also do the bolt hold open mod for you as part of that price. Brimstone offers a mid level and high level trigger job as well. If you want to spend more on the trigger than you did on the rifle, go with Tony Kidd's stuff. I have the single stage trigger assembly in my 10/22 and it is the best trigger I have ever owned. It is pricey, though. Either way, stay away from the Volquartsen hammer. At that price point, send the trigger to Brimstone instead.

You can send your bolt to Que to have it worked over for reliability. For $45, he will do his magic and install a Volquartsen extractor.

If you go with the $35 trigger job from Brimstone, have Que rework your bolt and add a guide rod and spring kit from Kidd you are right around your $100 limit, maybe a little more with shipping. You will be very happy with what that hundred bucks buys you. The only (maybe) negative is sending out the parts and waiting for them to get back to you. It can be hard waiting to shoot the rifle. With ammo availability what it is though, it might take longer to find ammo than to get the parts back.

No matter what you decide to do to the rifle, have fun! And just because some guy on the interwebs says that you should get this or that upgrade, remember that it is your rifle and your money. You get to decide what you want your 10/22 to be, not us.
