So this is not a ruger 10/22 conversion but a full blown rifle built by VQ. I needed a workhorse for my ranch and settled on getting one in this chamber to compliment my VQ VG-1 in .17 hmr.

I realized that I had a parallax issue as the current scope does not focus well down to such a short distance..as subsequently my 50 yard group ended up being the same as this group.

It does them squirrels in and is very light weight with the CF barrel and McMillan Stock

I don't think they make this rifle in this chambering any more.

Funny I think I just complimented you on a squirrel video.I am jealous you have that 17hm2.I want to build one,due to not being able to find the finished product.Now the conversions are drying up I guess.Personally I like the Mach 2 alot.Much quieter than 17hmr.It works rabbits and squirrels over hard.I shot a coyote last November with one,while I was rabbit hunting.He went about 40 yds before piling up in a fit.

Cool rifle! I suggest buying all the Eley ammo you can find. They stopped making 17HM2 ammo several years ago.
