Sorry bout that. It's a 10/22 with a Kidd barrel, preditor stock and muller mpv scope. Ammo was wolf match target.

Nice shooting! I'll be trying my hand at this one tomorrow. Hoping to get out early before the wind picks up. I'll post the results soon.

              Here is my attempt at 50 yards/scoped = 125145.

I'm sure I can do better, but was shooting from the hood of my Xterra.

Ammo was Aguila Super Extra 38 grn subsonic hp. That was the best I had with me today. I wanted to try the 100 yard scoped, but didn't have time...maybe I can still get it done.

That is some really nice shooting! I really need to start feeding my 452 some nicer ammo to tighten though groups.

                    Rimfire Match Co-ordinator Volunteers

I want to invite some of you shooters to consider becoming match co-ordinators in the future. I am getting up there in age and my wife will be retiring at the end of this July. We will begin to travel often so I will not likely be able to continue to run the matches as often as I have before but still want to stay involved and run them when I can.

Running the match is not that time consuming or complicated and I would be available to help anyone over the humps as needed. Their is a sticky of nearly all the past matches with a wide variety of targets there so finding targets should not be an issue. One can also google "free targets" and find a ton of them on the web.

Each month that I do the match I just copy and paste last months announcement in a text editor, edit as needed, post it and attach the targets. I generally run the matches for a couple of months so I make up the announcements and get the targets ready two months in advance, makes it a lot easier. Takes less than an hour. If you follow the targets that are posted and record scores every week its not such a hassle to figure out the winners at the end of the month.

So if someone wants to take a crack at it let me know. No pressure, really looking for someone that's interested in doing it, no begging here. Thanks Guys and Gals and PM me with questions if you desire before you hold up your hand and say "Pick Me, Pick Me".

                      Thanks!

I'm not sure but I'm starting to think ammo at 25y is less important than good fundamentals than it is at 50y and more. It's an idea but I don't have enough experience to say for sure just yet...

Well I have done the 50 yard shot with better ammo and my groups are tighter than with the old remington golden bullets I have been shooting.

I dunno, maybe my technique has gotten worse since I shot those.

Wow - you are definitely doing something right! You drilled those targets. My best is nowhere close to that good.

I'm just thinking out loud that at 25y, ammo is less important than good fundamentals. I think the further out you go from 50y and beyond is when the better match ammo will be a bigger factor to success provided a good npoa, sight alignment, sight picture, trigger control, etc are still there.

Finally got a slight improvement on my 25 yd target. 115.

Got out yesterday to do some shooting. A little windy so I spent a lot of time shooting between gusts and worked out pretty good. Here's the results.

                              25yd Irons Score-127
                              50yd Irons Score-135 (Invalid, I took 5 shots instead of 3)
100yd Irons Score-48 (My personal best)
50yd Scoped Score-182 (Flyers with SK Std+, never had that before) Correction, I scored my target incorrectly, Score should be 162. Off by 1 on every bullseye.
100yd Scope Score-60 (Left the .17HMR at home this time)

Will shoot the Pistola Targets on Friday.

                              Targets:

Nice shooting Izzy. I have not yet been to a range to shoot my matches and I only have two days left, hopefully soon. Have fun with your Pistola
