New rimfire rifles from ISSC

Too bad there's no lefty version. -
Interesting...

Priced to move? I read that and was like oh wow these must be like 100-200.These sleek and simple rifles fill a shooting niche that is often overlooked by larger manufacturers and are priced to move.
Nope!
Their first model SPA 22/17 has a bench rest-ready stock with a heavy, very flat handguard. It has a very vertical pistol grip and fixed, raised cheekpiece for use with scopes. It has an MSRP of $589 in .22 LR and $599 in .22 WMR and .17 HMR.
The least expensive is the synthetic stock modeljust $489 in .22 LR and $499 in .22 WMR and .17 HMR.
The third and priciest model is the tactical version, with a fully-adjustable folding thumbhole stock. The buttstock also includes an adjustable monopod.
Now the last one with the Accuracy International style stock is pretty sick! They don't give a price for it though..
But really you could drop any bolt action into an airsoft stock of that style for much cheaper.
Watched the video and the action does not look smooth at all!
That with this:
Makes these seem that they are not competition ready right out of the box..We also want to see an adjustable trigger; from the factory, these have five-pound triggers
Sorry while they might be bolt action over straight pull if I was in the market for a bolt, depending on the price point I would get a Marlin XT-22 for 200 or a CZ for 400-600 over these any day.

You forget that MSRP isn't the same as street price. 10/22 take down lists for $419 and $399 MSRP. Actual retail price has been lower than that.
Also compare to the cost of other target rimfire rifles, like Magnum Research's, the prices are on-par.
Been to a gun shop lately? Regardless of price, everything is moving.Comment

Your 10/22 example is 20 bucks off MSRP, not a big deal.
IMO for me these are priced 200 bucks out of the range of what I would be willing to pay for them.
IMO ISSC does not have the brand reputation to be going up directly against CZ's price point.
Will someone want them? Sure.Comment

Yes, it's an example, not an exact prediction of what will happen. Still lower than MSRP nonetheless.
Not asking you buy one by posting, no need for the sour grapes act.Comment

Last time I checked this is a forum.. a place for discussion.
As I said they are interesting and its an interesting link, thanks for it.
Sorry that it has personally offended you that I don't think they are a good value.
