If you want it get it.
I would pass because you can find them
for around 3 bills if your patient.
Sights are easy to find.
Front hole should be there.
unless you know who did the work.
I would be concerned about
the depth of the front into the chamber area.

Mkii don't have a trigger disconnect like the Mkiii so the trigger is generally smoother. You can remove the trigger disconnect and change around a mkiii or you can buy a mkii. I waited on bought a mkii.Starve the beast, move to a free state.

That price does seem a little steep for a Mk. II, and I wouldn't really pay any extra for the "scope". I just looked and I spent only $176 for mine brand new... of course that was in 1984!
Don't worry about the gun missing the front sight, though. I like the fiber sight which I put on mine, and it was cheap:

Here's a link to it on Midway:
You can also get a set of fiberoptic sights for the Mk. II (but I don't recall whether the rear fiber site in this kit uses the Ruger OEM rear sight base. For some reason I think that it does):
Then just get a couple of brass screws to fill the tapped holes you aren't using when you take the gun back to iron sights.
P.S.: Looks like I bought an extra magazine later in the same month I bought the gun. It set me back an extra $10.sigpic

I bought this 2 months ago for $350.
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

Good deals come along on Mark-II's but never seem to happen for me. If the one in the original post is a 6 7/8" barrel, they come along even less often, a 6 7/8 is about the most sought after Mark-II ("Government Target Model"). As to those suggesting a Mark-III, it ain't the same critter: some care, some don't. I'm a fan of the Mark-II's and as much as I may prefer the mag release on the III, the other features will prevent me from ever owning one.

That price does sound kinda high. I would guess that the high price includes the red dot sight. Cant see what brand/model it is. You should check around to see how much that sight costs. If your just in the market for the pistol and not dead set on a mark 2, you can always get a mark 3 22/45 for somewhere in the ballpark of $300. I picked one up a few month back for that price plus $12 for the magazine disconnect bushing and $50 for a red dot.
