marlin 22lr bolt action feeding issues

has anyone else had problems with there marlin 980 s feeding? rounds wont cycle hits on the outside of the barrell everytime im using a factory magazine any ideas?

Are you using hollow points? If so, see how solids work.

Do you have more than one magazine? If not, try a new magazine. If so, does the same thing happen on both? It sounds like a feeding issue to me.

yeagh i've tried 3 dif mags 2 factory 1 after market , oh well high ho high ho off to the smith i go lol thanks guys!

1) check your magazine lips , if they are bent you'll get feeding issues
2) check your action screws , if your receiver moves in your stock you can get
feeding issues.
3) check your magazine release , if it's loose( as in when your magazine is in
place and moves) your mag will wiggle and cause, yes , feeding issues.

I have seen this problem on a lot of .22's , most can be fixed with a pair of needle nose pliers.
