So I just got a marlin 17 hmr and looking for a higher cap on the magazine. I'm looking at 17hmrmagazine.com and it looks like the mags are for a savage. Does anybody know if that mag will work in my marlin XT-1T 17hmr.

They will work with some minor adjustments. The locking back strap is longer on the Savage than on the Marlin. I recommend that you go to the LGS with your mag in hand and compare. Then decide if you want to mod the mag to suit your requirement.The thing with firearms is that they are not like any other consumer product, simple ownership of one carries a lot of responsibility.
