    Ruger 10/22 Takedown adjustment ring

Quick question about barrel tension on a Ruger 10/22 Takedown.

What do you guys think I should do here? The video on the website and instruction manual say different things on how to do this.

Instruction Manual says to lock in the barrel and tighten the adjustment ring hand tight. Then take off the barrel and TIGHTEN the adjustment ring 2 clicks.

Website Video says to LOOSEN the adjustment ring 2 clicks.

It's definitely TIGHTEN 2 clicks. You want it snug, but not so tight that it damages it. Loosening it 2 clicks will introduce slop, making inaccurate shots.

If the two parts don't go together with a slight resistance, then you need to tighten that ring a click at a time until they do.

That's what I originally thought until I saw the video.

That's how I have it right now. I think it needed 2 clicks tighter.
