Mossberg 715 same specs as Marlin 795/60?

I was watching the video of how to take down a Mossberg 715T and the upper receiver looks to me like the same as my Marlin 60.
So I wondered, would my Marlin fit inside the Mossberg AR shell? or if need be, just minor alterations to make it fit?

I could be wrong but I think the Mossy is made in South America, Argentina if I remember correctly so I doubt it is the same as the Marlin 60 as far as fitting in the same stock. I could be wrong.

At first I was like WHAAA theres no way that they have anything in common..

But then I found this on google images:

While the bolt, charging handle and business part of the magazine look similar. There is no way to know if any part is actually made to the same specs and dimensions till someone puts them side by side and checks them.

The countour of the back of the receiver looks quite different and so is the way the trigger/action pack attaches to it.

The biggest problem I see from this photo is the trigger / action pack looks waaaay different.

It is really just a Mossberg Plinkster 702 in a shell from what it looks like:

The Plinksters internal design was probably inspired by the 60/795 but who knows where all the differences lay between the two.

IMO if you want to fit a 60/795 in an AR just do it in an airsoft body. Look at user defcons work to get inspiration and tips.
