    DROS'd a Marlin XTR-22R

Seeing that the Marlin 795 being readily more available, I was ready to get one at Bass Pro in Manteca. Low and behold there was a XTR-22R on the gun rack, along beside the thicker barrel XT. I could not resist and DROS'd the XTR-22R. Though the thicker barrel XT has a thicker foregrip, it felt significantly heavier and doesn't have iron sights but no scope. I went ahead and got the XTR-22R for $199 + tax & DROS. Can't wait!

btw, the salesperson told me I was the 3200nd person to buy a firearm today, crazy! Now on the haunt for .22lr ammo.

Wow, that's great! I'm going to ask Turners' management to refund me my deposit on this rifle. Might have to take a drive down to the BPS in Rancho.

I have been waiting since Feb 12, and now they have it on SALE at Turners with NO STOCK!!! Ughhh, hate Turners sometimes....okay, rant over.

Congrats on the new rifle OP!! Tell me how it shoots haha

I got my XT-22 last week and shot it this recent weekend. The rifle was awesome! Initially, I was at the 20yd range with iron sights just to see how it is with iron sights. Then I mounted my Barksa Plinkster 3-9x32 scope. With just the range pads, I 'zeroed' it at 20yds. Then I went to 50yrds and I was getting about 3" groups. I went to 100yrds and I had well, I'm still able to put them in my 8" Shoot N' C.

One I get proper support, I'll zero the scope to 50 yards. I had about 200rds of Federals in it. It had about 2-3 FTE and one FTF on my first session and not failures the next day. I was able to score 2 10-rd mags from ebay @ $20 each so that was good too. Now I'm looking for the next shilouette match, hehehe.
