    .22LR price doubling WalMart purchases

In a continuing sign of the times, the same ammo I lucked out to buy at Walmart a couple of weeks ago is now being sold in the classified section at twice the retail price.

I plan to shoot mine, but I guess we're in for a dry spell until people stop buying it.

Greedy and unscrupulous people will always take advantage of the unprepared people in a free market economy. What's new, this has been going on for centuries...

Gunntz, you sound like a socialist, my friend. It is more like the smart and the prepared who are helping out the ones who aren't, and allowing them to shoot in these scarce times.

I have some bricks of CCI Blazer if you need some, only $65 each!

xrMike, socialism has nothing to do with my comments. I'm not suggesting the spreading of my wealth or anyone else's to the general populous. My comments did suggest that overly greedy people are helping to create this ammo nightmare. These same people wipe out a good deal then sell it at a profit, that's capitalism at its finest but screws your neighbor/buddy. This is part of the problem with society today, everyone is to eager to put the screws to each other. Before you even hint a me whining about not having ammo, I was well stocked way before the SHTF.

No, just no. Its not people making a buck reselling ammo that are creating shortages, it's the lack of ammo production that's creating shortages. With the Department of Homeland Security's recent decision to purchase 1.2 billion rounds of ammo it puts a serious dent on what We The People can get. You ever see those CCI videos where they say they make 4,000,000 rounds per day? Tell me then why we are seeing NO CCI ammo in stores AT ALL? Why hasn't my local Dick's gotten ANY .22 in over a month? Same with local Big 5s and Walmarts. The resellers like myself aren't hording any ammo, we are keeping some to replenish what is used at the range and the rest is immediately resold. Also, with every brick and morter and online store limiting ammo to 1-3 boxes per person it's impossible for people to be hording for resale or otherwise. If it wasn't for people like me chicken hawking online ammo sites there would be a few people local to me that would never had a chance in hell to get any .22 ammo at all. Its all supply and demand, and right now there is little to no supply FROM THE MANUFACTURERS. So ask yourself again who you should really be upset with.
