Just picked up this Hi Standard 103 Supermatic Citation "Space Gun" with US markings today. I think it's pretty cool so thought I'd share.

Certainly unique, nice looking pistol. Just got introduced to the world of High Standards.
Have started with a Model R-101 a C&R single/double action revolver.

That's an extremely cool looking gun. Being a HS, I'm sure it'll shoot great too. I have a Victor that is a better shooter than me. A 'space gun" is on my someday list...
Have you been to Rimfire Central? They have alot of info on HS.

According to the serial number, it's was part of a big shipment to the US gov't in August, 1960.

Thanks everyone else for the compliments. My LGS had a few on consignment from a collector so I picked it up. I'm kicking myself for not buying the 106 Military he had at the time, too.

I'm going to take it out this weekend to see how she shoots. I just wish I had more standard velocity ammo. Anyone in the SF Bay Area want to trade for a brick of CCI Blazer?

That's very cool! I like the "spacey" pistols from the 50's~60's, like the Whitney Wolverine. You have a nice piece!

HS made great guns. In fact they also made barrels for the 03A3 early in ww2. One is attached to my sporterized (not by me. Bought it like that) Smith corona. Amazingly accurate gun. Bet that thing is also.
