By chance does anyone know of any brand of barrel (.920 bull barrel preferred) that is known to run on the tight side, on barrel to reciever fit. My ruger reciever is slightly oversized, the factory barrel has a little too much play. I picked up a tactical solutions v block with the barrel tension set screw. But was hoping that someone might know of a brand of barrel that is known to run tight that might aid my problem a bit more thanks!

A friend of mine has an older receiver that's a bit oversized also. He wound up painting the mating surface of both the receiver and barrel to take up some space, and hasn't pulled the barrel since.By chance does anyone know of any brand of barrel (.920 bull barrel preferred) that is known to run on the tight side, on barrel to reciever fit. The barrel is out of my factory ruger 10/22. It fits pretty well in the factory receiver. Drops in, does not need any force what so ever. But not really any play. I went to install it into my 80% receiver I did and it has a little bit of play. I used the correct methods and bit size to drill out the barrel hole. And it came out real nice but apparently it is slightly oversized so I'm trying to fine a way t cure that.Comment

Maybe a steel bushing could be made? If need be...The barrel is out of my factory ruger 10/22. It fits pretty well in the factory receiver. Drops in, does not need any force what so ever. Wrap teflon tape on it til you get the tightness you want. That's what I did on my TM 80%Comment
