Looking at a Savage MKII in skull camo for my son to shoot. It will be a little big for him now but I was thinking I would mount a bipod to it and its something he can grow into. Figure the wife and I could have fun shootin it as well. Any thoughts??

Bolt action is a great choice for starting new shooters, expecially children. With semi-autos they can get into the habit of burning thru ammo instead of learning good shooting skills and the Savage MKIIs are very good rifles.

Thank for the input. I jailed it on Wednesday!! Can't wait to pick it up and have the kid shoot it. I'm excited to shoot it as well!
