Jailed a Heratage Rough Rider...

Like title says jailed a SA .22 happened to be on sale this week at turners.

buddy of mine happened to be picking up his rifle and i had mentioned i had thought about picking the revolver up since its was cheep, but until that point i had resisted the urge.

peer pressure is a BIT@$

I have had one for 8 months, same model except HI-Viz sights and with the .22WMR cylinder. Mostly I shot .22lr because the .22WMR is REALLY, REALLY LOUD. Probably around 1500 rounds thru mine so far without a hitch. Fun revolver. Only problem I had was that I once shot the .22lr ammo with the .22WMR cylinder (Duh!) and really leaded up the clyinder and barrel. No harm done except to my ego.

Best to clean it after every couple of range visits. The cylinder and face of the barrel collects powder residue pretty quickly.

Got one just like it, you will enjoy. Side benefit is they shoot anything and its actually accurate.

Suprisingly accurate for how crappy the sites are. I don't shoot mine much anymore but my daughter does every time we go to the range.

I'm looking at those and the Chippia (sp) Puma be a nice little plinker. I like the idea of both cylinders though.

I got one for my daughter but I tend to shoot it more you'll save ammo with this gun since reloading takes a bit longer very accurate too

cool! from the sounds of it its not a bad gun. the evening after i paid for it i did a brief internet search on it. a lot of threads i came across were full of people bashing them... then i looked at the dates of the posts and most were 2-5yrs old.

so i figured i would make a thread and see what the current consensus of the revolver was.

yeah, I was kinda wondering how they compare to a ruger bearcat. I saw the RR on sale at turners and was going to go that route but was unsure as I'd read some of the same things. ended up going with the bearcat.

problem is they don't have them to rent at ranges so it's kinda hard to try before you buy. price is sure tempting though.

I picked mine up last year for about $180. Great little gun and probably the easiest to intro a new shooter at. I've not had any issues with mine and was also a bit sketchy reading the reviews prior to buying, but its probably one of my favorite purchases in the last two years.

I've had mine for about 4 years. It shoots straight and always goes bang. It might not be the fanciest gun, but it works great.

My wife has one, it's been great and we shoot it a lot. We bought it used about a year and a half ago and put a few thousand rounds through it. I'd get the adjustable sights if I had the option, because mine shoots just sliiiiiightly low, could be me though. She put pink grips on it, I think to embarrass me into not me from taking it to the range without her.


That does NOT stop me!
