Took the new plinker out to my local R&G Club (Richmond Rod & Gun) today to try it out at 25 yards.
Conditions are different on this range opposed to the last one, mainly because this one is outdoor and more importantly, they only have a 25 yard range for pistols.
I had the leftovers in my box of Federal Bulk and a box of zapper with me.
Started out and fed 2 mags through just trying to hit the target. Got it done but not real accurate. Started slowly making adjustments and after each adjustment, fired 5 rounds. I used a color change target (shoot n c) today.
By the 5th adjustment I got it down fairly well. Would like it too be better, but as the range was closing up, had to pack it up for the night.
Also tried a 3 round burst "open carry" style (mag in my back pocket, pulling from the hip, loading the mag and firing). I was pretty happy with those results as I was not trying for accuracy on the 3 round burst I fired this way, just mainly trying to do the whole process and hit the target in under 5 seconds. Didnt make that though (took me 6 seconds)...
Overall another great time with this little gun and hey, what more can you ask for... 70+degree weather, and shooting
Side note- I do not know if the .22 zapper (high velocity) that I picked up (6 boxes over the last week) is all bad or if I just got a bad box, but I had misfeeds, FTF's and down right jams on every mag. Im gonna try another box of it next time and if it does the same I will have to look into it further and see if this gun just doesnt like the high velocity ammo. If so I am sure I could find someone to trade with.... No problems with the Federal this time.
And........... Here is a picture of the target
