    Remington 514, bolt question

So my grandpa just gave me this rifle, pretty proud of it cause I grew up shooting it every time I went to his house since I was 5 years old. Pretty sure the gun has NEVER been cleaned since then lol. Now I wanna give it a little overhaul. Well I go pull the bolt out and notice this, looks like the ejector is bent, can anyone confirm or is it suppose to be like that? Also how do I pull the bolt apart? Thanks!

I have a 514 which is a terrific shooter and I wouldn't trade or sell. As you clean up your gun make sure you clean the groove the extractor rests in when the bolt is closed. It is above and to the right of the chamber on the back end of the barrel. It can get full of old grease and prevent the extractor from properly gripping the bullet rim. I used a toothpick and a cleaning patch with some Hoppes solvent to clean mine.

It's funny you mention that, I actually was concerned that was somehow broken at first. Started picking away at it and realized it was years and years of carbon build up.
