Scope Mounting On 93R17 Savage

I have a Savage 93R17 that I would like to move the scope back about
1-1.5". I already have the scope all the way back on the ring mounts.
There is no real adjustment on the rifle itself.
Has anyone addressed this issue?

Not only will the DIP mount allow better positioning of the scope it is also much better than the original mounts that come with the rifle. Also the thicker bottom metal around the mag opening will allow the action to be torqued better without bending the original bottom metal. Win, Win.
