    Searching for M&P 15-22 MOE

Long time lurker first time poster. As my title states I've been searching for a M&P 15-22 Magpul MOE. Any suggestions on the best place to find one in the So Cal area? Any advice/insight is greatly appreciated!

Have you considered building a a AR-.22LR? You could go with a standard lower and use the TACCOM Ultra Light Weight upper... It will end up costing a little more, but you'll end up with a much nicer, more accurate, more reliable, and more versatile setup (you could change it to run .223 at a later date).

It's crossed my mind, I do have a striped FMK lower that was to be built before the panic started. Is it just the upper that is different or is there extensive modification to the lower as well?

You might get lucky at Big 5 but you have to go in and ask. They are not usually on display and are not advertised. They do not show as in stock on their website. Turners put them on sale a few weeks ago but had none in stock. They took a lot of deposits on something they didn't have. Bought one here yesterday for $550. Paying more than that is just crazy. Gun trader had one Cali version on auction yesterday. Good luck!

On a tangential note, are you sure you want the MOE version, and not the base version instead? Honestly, the only upgrade I felt was necessary with my basic model was to replace the plastic grip. The iron sights work like a charm as well, and I feel that the left over money is better spent on ammo, because you'll be wanting to shoot it all day.
And on the third day, God created the Remington bolt-action rifle so that man could fight the dinosaurs. And the homosexuals.

I keep forgetting to post this but I jailed one on Saturday. I found it at Turner's in Torrence. I paid 550 plus fees for for a new black MOE version. I chose the MOE since it had all the goodies included for a good price. I can't wait to take it to the range.

I was at Turners West Covina today and they said they have "a warehouse full" of the MOE models. I believe they were $569.
