You mean the Sig 522 (Sig552 is a commando 223),, Yes the Sig 522 the 22LR rifle is the most reliable and accurate in the 22LR Market... My 522 will eat everything and black dog mags works great in these.

I had one. I thought it was pretty cool. It was a little more accurate than my M&P 15/22 and had a much nicer trigger. In terms of reliability they were equal and ran any bulk pack I tried.

The two main things I didn't like about it, and ultimately the reason I traded it off, was the limited aftermarket support; especially compared to the M&P, and that the bolt didn't lock back after the last round. I liked that it had an ambi safety but it's location made it feel awkward to my hands, again, probably because I was used to those on an AR.

I bought mine used from another Calgunner, it was one of the 1st gens plagued with several problems, but Sig's CS was very easy to deal with and the only thing that was a little difficult was making/finding the right sized box to ship it out in.

        522 is sweet
highest quality of the "tactical".22's IMO.
As noted, limited aftermarket support. You can get quad rails and folding A.R. style stocks and thats about it......
It's plenty accurate out of the box about 1-1.5" @ 50y with bulk blazer.I'd say less than 1/2" @ 25y.(I've never actually measured groups for it, but i do measure at least a few groups per week)
I'm a big nerd for accuracy (my 10/22 is doing .25" and better @ 50y pretty consistent with Eley)so I've been going nuts trying to find a target barrel. Found a dead end link for some shop in montana months ago. Other than that, you need to get the one from sig, and I think you can only get that on a new gun.
The triggers o.k. I like mine a lot better after doing the A.R. hammer spring trick to lighten it up.
No empty mag hold open is kinda weak, but it's not a deal breaker for me.

It's a great gun straight from the box, and there's no "need" to do anything to it.

I have one, and it eats what ever i feed it, check 44mag.com for BDM 10rd mags with metal feeding lip, good deal and cheap shipping.

I recently purchased one from a fellow CG'er. Been to the range a couple times now and really impressed with the rifle. About 500 rounds through her w/o any issues. As mentioned not much in aftermarket accessories but my son/daughter are happy with the 522 as is :-)

Another option albeit more dollars is the CMMG dedicated 22LR uppers that ride on actual AR15 lowers. These are the most realistic training tools if you have an AR15 rifle.

                        Black dog magazine works perfectly.

                          its a beastly 22 lr.

super quiet for a 22 also. i've had more than 1 guy at the range ask me what i was shooting because he could barely hear it.

I've had mine a couple of years now. All I added was pop-up iron sights from Samson (the Classic didn't come with them when I bought mine). So far it is reliable, accurate, with a good trigger pull for it's price. I enjoy shooting it.
