Has anyone recently sent a Walther P22 to Smith and Wesson to be converted to the CA legal version? I contacted S&W first by email and the response I received was "we don't do that." I was surprised by this so I decided to call. The person who answered said, "yeah, just send it in with a note to the address on our website and we'll do it." I asked about the cost and he said, "I don't think we charge anything for that." I asked is there a certain department or person I should address it to and he said "nope, just the address on the website."
I'm not really stoked about "just sending it in with a note." Has anyone else done this recently? I haven't been able to shoot it becuase it's disassembled and there is not much worse than having a gun you can't shoot.
Any help or guidance would be appreciated. Even a "I sent mine in with a note and it came back fine" would help me feel better.

ail. The RMA email includes info on how to send it. Stick your note in the box with it, then.
