    Looking For Kel-Tec 22

Has anybody seen any of these around? Kel-Tec SU 22 CA. I have been looking and no success on my end. Also, if you have one and are intrested in a trade I have a new never fired RUGER 10/22 Takedown for trade. Please let me know if you have seen it.

    Thanks in advance!

I've never seen one around really. I'd guess you'd have to order one to get one. Have you looked at the M&P 15-22? It's very nice, and aside from the current market conditions, you can find them nearly anywhere that sells guns.

Saw one at Discount Gun Mart on Morena in San Diego a couple of weeks ago before the madness.

You might have more success if you tell us where you are located. If you're somewhere near me, we might be able to talk. If not, good luck and hope you find one.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

I researched it myself using the distributor inventory websites and located one, then brought it to my local and told them to get it in. I could not order it directly because it is only available with a 30 rnd magazine. Not a problem for an FFL to order and swap out. A good reason to be a good customer. They even gave me a reasonable price since I did all the research for them.

I believe that Kel-Tech has not run a production run of this gun for quite a while. Mine was an older mfg. date if I recall.

I too am in NorCal, but if the geography works, would consider a deal under the right circumstances. Actually all I can offer is that I would be willing to broker a deal with my son... it's his gun, purchased as a reward for very good grades, but he can be a bit of a SOB when negotiating. (The derogatory comment s only directed toward my son, not his mother. Just thought I better clear that up before things get out of hand.)

Not a chance you'll find one.
It is a myth that Kel-Tec actually manufactures guns. They design them, build a few T&E models for review, only making them available to the press a year or two after they debut at Shot-Show. Then, a year following the reviews and to continue to feed the pent up demand, they release ten or so of each new model to vendors who will list them on GunBroker, who of course sell them for 3x the alleged list price.
There's a scramble to purchase them at this elevated price, with the new buyers showing them off in forums like this, to the chagrin of forum readers whose response swings from laughter at the ridiculous price payed, to envy for wanting a multi-thousand dollar piece of unfinished plastic. All further leading to excitement that KT will finally be ramping production.
But alas, the new owners find out that their radically designed firearms are significantly flawed, are a bit red-faced in realizing that they were the beta site for the yet unfinished design. Ultimately all are sent back to Kel-Tec for modifications, never to be seen again. Monies are ultimately returned and buyers purchase either Glocks, AR's or 10/22's saddened that they must be relegated to one of the masses of average gun owners with average firearms that actually function as advertised.
The following year, Kel-Tec repeats the process. Occasionally with a shotgun that looks like it's Lost In Space.
                Rinse and repeat.
