    SR22 Problem

So after firing about 400 rounds out of my Sr 22 at the range, I went home to clean it. As I was using my copper brush to scrub the inside of the bore a thin chunk of metal came out. I am worried that I somehow screwed up the rifling of my bore and that piece is a thin sheet scraped off the rifling. Can anyone confirm this or have any experience with this? If I called it in to ruger do you think they would replace my barrel? Thanks for your help

That is probably lead that was fouling your barrel. Is the metal soft and easy to bend?

Lead also has a low melting point.Could melt with a lighter.

Remove the slide and look down the bore to check.

Yeah, what does it look like down the barrel?? I have an SR22 with hundreds of rounds fired down range. Zero problems. Even if your barrel is messed up, I'm sure Ruger would take care of it.

Stop shooting lead bullets if you don't want to deal with that just shoot coppers plated ammo
