Are 22/45 and MKiii frames interchangeable?

I have a 22/45 with the line textured poly frame and was wondering if I could put the newer 1911 style grip frame on it.

I'm pretty sure you can, I could be wrong though. But you might want to consider doing the 1911 grip mod. It was pretty easy to do even for a dummy like me. I used vids on youtube showing how it's done.

Yes I was planning on doing that mod but I found a frame that I was going to get and gunkote od

that is a fine looking 22/45, love the grip!

I would like to do ther same but with the Ruger wood grips ..
Just a little hesitant to grind down the plastic
