    Wifama rifles?

At the local gun store I'm looking at a used Wifaa WZ-78 Polish trainer in .22lr.
It's a pretty nice looking rifle with nice sights. I plan to scope it, for about the money I know I can buy a new Savage but I like older things, cars bikes and weapons. I checked the bore it looks good, the bolt feels nice and tight but buttery smooth. I just about have myself talked into the purchase except
I can not find ANY information on line about this rifle. Not even one hit on google.
Is anyone here familiar with this rifle or the maker?

Found some info, looks like it might be over priced. I like what I see except for the price. I think I'll go see if they will take a good offer. If not I guess I'll buy new Savage but man I love older stuff.

About the only thing in common between a WZ-48 and a WZ-78 is they are both Polish & .22lr.

I have a couple of WZ-78 and they are awesome rifles, very accurate. The magazines can be a little pricey and hard to find. The trigger is adjustable in both weight and location. The dovetail is an odd size but mounts are available. It's also known as a kbks-78 so try searching for that. The rifle laying next to the shooter is a WZ-78.

Well I did some looking around on the interwebs and was not able to get the rifle at a price point I was comfortable with. So being the kind of buyer I am I decided to place a new CZ 445 convertible in jail. I pick it up on the 9th, so we'll see. Some day I'll find an older rifle at a price I'm ok with, until then I guess I'm shooting new or will be the evening of the 9th.

how much was the wz.78 ? I have one and its a pretty awesome rifle. Accurate with a super light trigger. If it was under $400 then it was a good deal. Lots more information on rimfirecentral.com it sounds like there were only a couple thousand imported to the US so they are pretty rare. But mine is a tack driver.
