just jailed a hk 416 22lr

Went by big 5 tonight to check out what they had in the way of bolt action 22s and then talked with the guy and said they had nothing except for a youth one. So i asked him about semi autos and he showed me this one among others and i decided to dros it. Cant wait to pick her up in 11 days. Only issue is finding ammo anywhere for it

I already ordered a few mags from hkparts.net so im good on mags. just a matter of finding some decently priced ammo. i cant wait to pick it up 9 days now.

NICE! Welcome to the club! I got mine a few weeks ago and I love it. Keep a leery eye out for ammo and you'll be fine. Hopefully the prices moderate a bit here soon. It's tough to say here in CA since we have a few different axes waiting to fall on the ammo front.

I am trying to find DECENTLY priced ammo but thats hard to do. Fortunately next fall im moving to Arizona so hopefully it wont be as bad out there.

I know what you mean! My wife and I are visiting Texas in 2 weeks to see if we want to move there. I told her I won't buy another gun until after we're settled somewhere new. Needless to say I am trying to rush things

Then again, I may not be able to buy either a gun or ammo anytime soon... At Outdoor World they told me that they got some .22 a couple weeks ago and it was gone in minutes. The employees and a couple of customers grabbed it all up. Ay online buys I see are gone in less than an hour.
