CCI velocitor 50 round pack

Found some cci .22lr 50 round packs at my lgs . I've always bought federal in bulk so I don't know the prices on these. Is 10.99 worth it right now?

Midway lists it at $6/box, in theory they'll have some in a week or two but there's no backorder so who knows if that's true or if they'll change the price at that point. Velocitor was never all that easy to find so it may very well be worth quite a bit more if somebody really wants/needs some.

Velocitors are more expensive than mini-mags. Price sounds about right. But, if your firearm is picky about ammo, it might not be worth it. What are you planning on shooting them through?

My lgs had them for range use, I've put them through all of their rental .22s: an M&P, and Ruger SR22, 22/45, MK III. Reliable feed even on beat-the-heck-up range rentals. They were charging $7.99.

Are CCIvelocitors faster than CCIStingers? I used to pay around $5.37 at Walmart for Stingers of course that was pre-Firearmageddon but 10 bucks for 50rds .22lr still seems a little gougy to me...(LGS' are known for that though)

Stingers - 1640 @ muzzle (Varmint / 32gr bullet)
Velocitor - 1435 @ muzzle (Small Game / 40gr bullet)

BTW, stingers make ANY .22 that can handle them twice as much fun!
Aguila makes a hyper velocity .22 too you might still find some of those online.
