Big 5 had them at Christmas, but haven't seen any lately.Comment

Big 5 sold out in my area and I guess it's "first come first get" when ever they get more. My other local FFL has several on order but they don't know when they'll ship.
I want one, my friend wants one, etc. Ruger sure hit a home run with that one!Comment

I talked to a manager at a Big 5 in San Jose and he told me that they usually get a few every other week but they sell like hot cakes, he also informed me that they get their shipments on Fridays so if you're in SJ check them out on Friday afternoons
Hopes this helpsComment

I saw some on the rack this morning at Turner's in San Diego if that helps.Comment

just to spoil the fun a bit. Last weekend I did my range safety officer duty. One young man brought in the 10/22 take down. After having few hours fun shooting, he could not separate the rifle to two pieces. He can disengage, turn and pull apart by 1/4 inch or so, then move no further. Few of us tried and no luck. He had to put back to the complete rifle configuration and bring home to a guns-smith.
He said there is some heat treatment quality issue causing some 10/22 with this problem.NRA Lifetime. M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, M1903, M1911, Mausers, Mosin Nagant........Comment

I have a 10/22 and sent hundreds of rounds downrange and NEVER had problems separating the halves.
Now I have seen other 2 other shooters having the problem you described and I fixed it for them; I told them that they needed to lock the bolt back before breaking down the rifle. After they locked it back, they both were able to separate the rifles._______________

this rifle has caught my attention lately as well. It is now on my must have list. Check out the sweet folding stock with pistol grip that this guy has on his. Makes me want to get one.
One question. Would putting a stock/pistol grip like that make it into an "assault weapon" in CA if you also used it with a legally owned high capacity mag? That would be a shame if it did....... it's a .22!Comment

I picked mine up on Sunday from the Big 5 on Stevens Creek, It was $389 I wonder where the price difference comes from?!?!
Also they said if it goes on sale in the next 30 days you can get a refund for the difference.Comment

They had a sale on it around Chritmas. $20 off. Got myself one at the discounted rate.Comment
