    Phoenix arms hp22 mod question...

Just did the mag disconnect and release mods on my brand new hp22. Now the magazine drops nice and smooth now, but the question is i still have to press down the mag release button down in order to fully insert the magazine back into the gun. Is this normal or did i screw the mod up? Thanks guys

I don't know if that is normal but it does not sound like it. I do know there are a lot of YouTube videos on this particular modification, maybe can find your answer there if no 1 here can help. good luck.

Very normal. They are fun to shoot. As Quickdraw stated, shoot standard velocity ammo. I cracked my frame and had to have it replaced. My new one is still sitting at the LGS as Phoenix still has to send payment for DROS. It has been 3 months so far and I am still calling Phoenix to get an eta on the check.

Needless to say, I will be selling my brand new one when it comes out of DROS - will come with 6 or 7 mags, 5 recoil springs, spare safety catch, and a 5" barrel also.
