I want to buy a rifle for my daughter. Hunting deer and boar, which would be the better rifle?

.243 is a better hunting round.

Look at the game regs where you intend to hunt. Many states do not allow the .223/5.56 to be used for hunting deer and other game

If the .223 is not allowed this will help with your selection.

The .243 is a great round. If you reload you might also look at the .270

Load it down and use a lighter bullet. As your child gets older, you can load heavier bullets and closer to max loads.
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
            (thanks to Jeff Cooper)
