I have been shooting 22 LR for over 25 years. You can't compare Winchester bulk to mini mags. Win bulk is crap, always has been. CCI is the best 22 LR in my opinion.

I know its not fair to really compare the two. i did it to emphasize the poor quality of the winchesters. i didnt even cherry pick those tore up rounds it was literally the first 3 i grabbed. I dont think i can even shoot these things or would want to. what say you guys? should i toss them or shoot them anyway or just save them for a TRULY rainy day? i would donate them but i think i would be doing more harm than good if they can potentially damage someones rifle...

I remember about 20 years ago my boss bid on a train load of goods that had gone into the Puget Sound. There wasn't any ammo in the stuff but your bullets reminded me of some of the stuff we did get. The boxes didn't seem to have any damage yet we knew they had been in salt water. I guess be packaged close together let them dry straight.

I wonder what is the history of that ammo?

I dont know. these were bought at walmart and the boxes are in pristine condition. i could kinda understand 1 box but i have 2 of them and they are the same. i have never soaked them in water, never neglected them or anything. i keep in dry and safe. Kinda disappointed in these.

If what you say is true, that comes out to 6.5 cents/round. If it is under 8 cents for a quality round that includes shipping (and/or tax), that's a good price.
