I got some Back Order Notifications from Midway on some different Aguila ammo today. While I was looking I see that my December Back Order on CCI Mini-Mags now shows "Staging". Maybe shipping soon ?

Got my Blazers today, Allegra smashed, ammo OK. It kinda seems like its not getting a lot of care when packaged. Maybe its just the Salt Lake City people?Comment

Heh. Mine too. Allegra box is flat.
I have many tens of thousands in the cabinet now... looking for my Holy Grail and then I'm done: I want to score a bucket. I've yet to buy one.

Cabelas cart add
Not 22LR but in the same vein of short supply........ Shotgun powder
Would someone PM me with the steps to add an item to the cart. I've been trying to add IMR 700X. Its not showing up on the website, but I have the item number from a previous order and Cabelas doesn't want to let me add the item to my cart. It doesn't like the number.
Thanks in advance on this one.Comment

I asked the Rep at Midway. She said it's the coating on the bullet - based on internet research. Really? So, a slicker bullet travels faster in a barrel? I'll have to look that up myself.
Edit: I think I found the source of the Midway Rep's answer:
The difference between Agula Pistol Match and Aguila Rifle Match ammo is the coating on the bullet.
All lead bullets from 22 to 44mag need to be lubricated. Cheap 22 ammo uses a cheap wax lube - you probably noticed it in the past. Match ammo - has a nice black finish - this is a more expensive wet coating that provided a uniform dry lubricant. Match pistols have short barrels - so - their ammo does not need to have as thick of a coating as Rifle Match which typically needs to lubricate a 20+ inch barrel.Last edited by TakeTheShot; 03-19-2014, 6:30 PM.Comment
