Anyone else considering getting back into 22?

Anyone else considering getting back into 22?

With all the crap going on right now and ammo practically impossible to find, I'm strongly considering getting back into shooting 22 almost exclusively. I'm thinking about brushing the dust off of some of 22's and hitting the range this weekend. And I'm not just talking about plinking, maybe shooting for some accuracy. It's been years, but I think it's time.

I never got away from 22s. I have always taken at least 4 or 5 various 22's to the range on every trip. I would say 60% of my gun purchases are chambered in 22.

          Back into .22?

This is the wrong subforum to be asking whether people are getting back into .22.

I was never not into it. I shoot my 10/22 at least 3-4 times a week on my property. Fun and cheap, what's not to like?

I'm actually getting INTO .22, i've been meaning to pick one up for the last year or two but finally found the rifle i wanted and paid for it yesterday. For refining precision and breathing technique it's hard to beat a .22, Cheap and fun to shoot what's not to like?

Well yeah, goodluck finding any .22 ammo. I have shot .22 all my life. I have alot of other calibers too but was really hoping the ammo shortages would not go so far as to limit the supply of the lowly .22 rimfire but it has. I have quite a bit stashed away so am immune for some time but hope it comes back and is not double the price when it does.

With the price of centerfire ammo and the shortages it has had for atleast a couple years now, more people than ever have started shooting rimfires. Alot of people who in the past laughed at us for even considering shooting what they considered a toy gun are now buying their own .22s. Wish they had stayed with their original mentality and continued to laugh at us,not join the ranks..The AR15 conversions, dedicated rifles and the .22 uppers have really taken of in the last few years, also causing a very sharp demand for the .22 ammo..

I was given an older Marlin 60 a while ago because it was "broken". I finally got around to cleaning years of goop out of the fire controls and fired a few hundred rds through it over Christmas. I had forgotten how much fun it was to shoot for hours for about $25.
Note: it jambed up with Winchester, but fed on Remington best.

Always had my 10/22 but just recently bought a Savage LH bolt gun for more precision shooting.
