J Stevens Visible Loader

My Grandfather gave me this old 22 before he passed. It had belonged to his father, its a JStevens Visible loader, you may have seen one.

Anyway, its missing a magazine/feed tube. Any idea where to get one?

I remember as kid, he told me that he had dropped the rifle and cracked the stock. His Dad put tape around it, to this day the tape looks like it was applied a week prior.

I do not plan on shooting it. Not sure its safe to do so. However, it would be nice to replace the missing parts.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I used to have two visible loaders. I actually used to collect Stevens years ago. Watch Ebay for parts. They show up there occasionally. Gun Broker,call Jack First, Lees Gun parts in Texas. Heres a guy local to me that may be able to help. His name is John and his phone number is (402) 287-9927

Other than that just keep searching around the internet. I do alot of projects of all types and kinda enjoy the parts chasing. Might call Gunville and see if they make a repro stock. You can shoot it if the bore and chamber is in good shape. Both the ones I had had bad chambers. Really common problem with these. Goodluck.
