Need advice on a 22 pistol

I currently have a Glock 19 and a SA XD 45 and I'm looking for a 22 to get some trigger practice for cheap. I've handled an M&P 22 and a Ruger Mark III and I like them both. The M&P is more like my pistols, trigger and feel wise but I really like the all metal Ruger. I know the Ruger shoots just about anything you feed it and the M&P is a little more picky but still a good gun. I'm just having a hard time deciding which one I should get and wanted to hear some opinions.

I would get the M&P to practice with since they're very similar to my other pistols. The Ruger looks and feels a whole lot different than my other pistols but it would be a blast to shoot. And I can't afford both.......yet

Oh and I can't find a Browning Buckmark locally but it seems to be similar to the Ruger

get the 22/45 and swap in the mag disconnect bushing. It'll be one of your favorite guns.

ruger mk 3 target. fun to shoot, very reliable, very accurate.

A friend of mine has the M&P and he says the mags are impossible to get. The Ruger is also built for accuracy. I would chose the 22/45

ruger MK with mag disconnect as others stated. i hear the ruger sr22 is decent, but i dont know first hand i have a sig mosquito & its very picky. my mk's eat anything. the cleaning is not that hard either

Between just the M&P22 and Mark III, I would go for the Mark III. While the M&P22 would be a good trainer for your other centerfire handguns, the Mark III would be good as just a stand alone, accurate gun.

If you can find one, I would actually recommend a Buckmark over a Mark III. Both are good .22s but I liked the weight and feel of the Buckmark a little better

I personally want to get either the Mark III or the 22/45. I had considered getting the buckmark but I don't want to have to dig up a hex wrench every time I want to clean it...=)

Also when is Ruger gonna cough up the cash to put the 22/45 with the removable panels on the CA "safe" list.
