    decision between 2 scopes

Looking for a scope for my 10/22. right now its dead stock. just got it from my pops new in box never shot from like 1996. Planning on an aftermarket stock, barrel and scope.

Was looking at the Bushnell banner 4-16x 40mm CF500 Illuminated reticle. It's $104 on Amazon.

And the Mueller APV 4.5-14x 40mm. It's $130 on Amazon.

Bushnell has less reviews but all seem positive. It's cheaper but slightly higher magnification and has the illuminated reticle and is supposed to be good in low light too.

Anyone have experience with either or both? Or know of some glaring difference between these two to sway my decision either way? Or are there any other scopes you can recommend around the same price?

    Thanks in advance.

Thanx. Doh. I'd pick the Mueller. Great reviews at RimfireCentral.

My vote is for Mueller. I just picked up the Mueller Target Dot and it's awesome!

And the Simmons Whitetail Classic is on sale at Midway, and believe there's a $20 rebate, which would bring it down to around $90.

And here's a good list to give you a reference point

I have the APV and its a good value for the money.

Not sure about the Bushnell you posted but the APV has AO...nice to have for a rimfire.

I have not used the bushnell you listed, but I did just install that exact mueller on my 10/22 about two weeks ago, with some burris signature zee rings. Haven't shot it yet, but feeling her up and playing with it in the shop it seems like a very high quality piece for the price.

You can get the Mueller for $123.45 shipped at Optics Planet with this coupon code: opiv5of

AO: Adjustable Objective. It's a good thing to have for rimfires.
