    High Standard Model B

My wife and I have a renewed interest in shooting so I dug out my High Standard Model B Type 1 that was passed down to me from my Dad. It needed some work so I found a gunsmith that was familiar with this old gun and did a great job getting it working. He suggested that I start looking for parts like the firing pin and spring, guild rod and spring and magazines as these are already hard to find and one day will be impossible to find.
I was hoping that someone here might have some leads to find these parts. I have found several places that sell parts for the type II take down but next to nothing for the type I

    Thanks
    Rich

Thanks. I have been there but the parts diagrams and price lists aren't very descriptive as to model.

Perhaps you should call them. I've never dealt with them, but seem to remember several posts complimenting them when dealing direct on the phone.

I'd start with Numrich too but look at gunshows and Gunbroker and, believe or not, ebay. They are likely to be asking high prices. You may find some deals there but you'll have to know the going prices. Also, my High Standard Victor requires standard velocity .22 target ammo instead of the high velocity stuff. You may look into that for your Model B.

I have a HS Supermatic Trophy and run the Aguila standard velocity ammo through it. No issues and great accuracy. I like it so much I no use it in everything including my AR with a CMMG conversion kit...works better than anything else I have put through it so far.
