Just picked up my new M&P15-22 earlier today and I have a question after going over it.
I'll start by saying I had one before, it was an older one that I had bought used from a member on here at the end of 2011, non-threaded barrel model. My old one had a normal metal hammer like any other AR-style rifle. When did S&W start using plastic hammers in the 15-22?
Luckily I have an extra FCG from an old project that I can use, as I would feel better having all metal components...the trigger on this one feels like absolute trash compared to my old 15-22 and I have a feeling it has entirely to do with the plastic hammer.
