ISSC Scar vs Marlin 795

I have a chance to pick up an ISSC Scar for $350, does that sound like a good deal? I was toying with the Marlin 795 in an airsoft body for a small project instead. I know the Marlin mags would be more accessable than the ISSC Scar mags would. Any feedback would be appreciated.

the 70/airsoft build will drain your patience. Be warned. BUT, you could end up with any exotic .22 rifle you want... instead of a stupid scar-ish thing from issc that is NOT serviceable or upgradeable in any way.

You could pay the $350, and set it aside for some possible income when teh value of any semi-auto anything goes off the chart.

i did the ACR and SCAR airsoft conversion using my 795. mainly due to the reliability and availability of cheaper 795 mags

im saving up for a KRISS airsoft conversion using my 795. waiting on a few things to sell before i can buy a KRISS
