M&P 22 mag disconnect removal help

Hi guys, I'm looking for a detailed tutorial, does anyone have one.

    I found this one, http://www.burwellgunsmithing.com/M&P2.htm
But it skips how to get that "chunk" out of the gun!

    Thanks,

Just off hand I believe those instructions are for a striker fired pistol, 9mm, 40 and 45 centerfire. The M&P 22 is hammer fired and is different. I think someone on Rimfirecentral posted how to do it and felt it wasn't the best idea due to other factors. I would love to remove mine but until someone comes along with a foolproof method mine will remain stock.

Although this video is centered around removing the ambidexterous safety mechanism from the M&P 22 ( something I chose not to do with my own gun) it also gives good coverage of how to remove the alloy inner receiver from the lower polymer grip and later reassemble the two units:

Great tutorial, thanks for finding it. I'm going to wait for a tutorial before trying the mag disconnect removal. It's not bothering me so much that I'll risk screwing it up.

I realized my earlier link was for a regular M&P.

I removed my safety levers by just removing the rear pin, lifting the tear out just enough to pull off the levers. They interfered with my grip.

I shot it today for the first time. I used federal 525 value pack. It shot perfectly, no failures. It was too cold and windy to adjust with the sights but it shot a bit left. Next range session I'll dial it in.

I shot it beside my friends SR22 and we both prefered the size and weight of the M&P22. I did like the sights better SR22. Both were good.

        Thanks,
