Don't have one but its not the ammo. Someting is amiss with the rifle. Get it fixed and don't advertise this issue too much. Even though its a malfunction its still illegal to have a fully automatic anything even though its not meant to be that way. You don't want to have this happen at a range where an LEO may be present. Many Range Managers will ask you to leave if they see this happening.

I may be wrong but best to err on the side of safety.

Izzy is right. Call up S&W and have them fix the problem.

i would bet its the firing pin retaining spring or the trigger thats to blame. i dont like that the gun ejects the shells before locking back the hammer

I once took my 15/22 apart and didn't put the pin that holds the trigger in right. It was doing something similar and firing even with the safety on.
Check to make sure that pin is all the way in.

That happened me one time I think. Before I think it did occur I had accidently fired a few rounds of .22 long out of it. A good cleaning of the firing pin and extractor solved it.

Do not use that gun until you get the problem fixed. Olofson went to jail for the same type of malfunction
