Nikon or Vortex are nice for the cost.

Weaver 2.5-7x28mm rimfire.
Good price, clear glass and Made in Japan... Also, the compact size looks good on a 10/22.Comment

I've got a Tasco target/varmint 2.5-10x42 that has been great on my Marlin model 60. It's soon to be added onto my Savage MKII fv-sr.Comment

Go down to Walmart and look at the Center Point scopes. Yeah, they're not Leupold's, but they're all under or just over $100. And they work. Plus Walmart's return policy is good if you don't like it.
I have the 4-16x40mm on my AR for varmint hunting and couldn't be happier.
It's probably a little big for a 10/22, but they have a 3-9x32 that would look good and a 2-7x32 that may be even better. A fixed 4x is ideal for a .22 and they have those too.
Amazon also sells them and you can read the reviews there -

I admit to knowing nothing, but I bought a BSA Sweet .22 3 - 9x40 mm Scope for $40, and have yet to mount it. I did just pick up another 10/22 yesterday at Turner's and am itching to get to the range.Comment

Nikon Prostaff and the Redfield Revolution are great in that price range. Actually the Nikons exceed their pricing. Nikons are made in the Philipines. If that bothers you the Redfields I believe are made here by Loupold. Or however thats spelled..Comment

Under $100 probably the CenterPoint 4-16x with MilDot reticle @ Walmart. Under $150 for higher magnification the Simmons WhiteTail Classic 6.5-20x is a great buy, made in the Philippines. Realize that it is a BIG scope. Other choices that are decent under or around $150 are Nikon scopes with 3-9x or less magnification. Given that you want to shoot 50-150yds I would suggest that you pick a scope with an adjustable objective (AO).OK... so I know this may open a can of worms...
I wanna get a good all around (50-150 yd) scope for a 10/22, but this is an old gun bought @ a pawn shop 20 years ago. I dont want to spend triple+ $$ on the scope. Prefer to stay under $100, but if stepping to $150 gets me some additional feature or performance...ok!
I have used a scope long ago on a buddies that was a nail driver... It had the mil moa markings on the x hair and I do like those!
Any knowledgeable advice would be appreciated.
Also look at the Weaver 40/44 models of scopes. They are Philippine made in a Japanese factory. Good glass and the price is within your budget. I own 2 of the 6.5-20x models, great scopes for the $$$.
I am not a fan of ANY Chinese made scopes as they tend to disappoint and fail, usually sooner than later. These include the BSA, TASCO, Truglo, Weaver Kaspa models and many others. Their resale value is very low where the Philippine/Japan scopes hold value very well.
Good luck with the choice.Comment
