    795 scope mounts

From what I've read mounts have a tendency to walk on the 795 which is why a lot of people suggest using the UTG integral mounts. Are there any mount that allow you to still use the iron sights? My walmart has some see through weaver mounts but I've never acutally seen them as they are always out of stock. Anyone ever used one of these?

I had a set like those. Aside from being way too high to use the scope, they also sucked and walked off the rail. Get the UTG mount(or something similar with a long clamping area).

You need an 11mm/dovetail to weaver mount.

          here are 2 thoughts:

First one is a canted 4 screw mount, so very sturdy but I am not sure about the see through

Did they attach directly or did you use an adapter?

I didn't realize you linked to the picatinny version for some reason. Get this one: http://www.amazon.com/UTG-Airgun-Med...dp/B002TUSJVQ/

I just ordered one of those but was hoping someone had a see through version so I could use the iron sights as well.

I've mounted my scope with the UTG one piece mount. Here is a question...the UTG mount has a screw that you can use to screw downwards into the rail. Are you supposed to drill a hole in the rail for the screw to sit in to prevent walking? Or is it supposed to just press against the rail, or is it for airguns that have a hole? I have no problem drilling a small hole there in the rail it if will stop the mount/scope from walking!

+1 It seems to be some sort of set screw, but if the mount itself holds, I don't know why you would need a set screw too.

Some rifle rails will have a corresponding hole.

I just tightened it a tiny bit to the rail not crazy hard.
