What scope for HMR 17

Wondering what scope would be best suited for a 17HMR. 3-9, 3-12, 4-16, 6-18... I'm leaning toward 4-16x40. Looking for some Input.

That's what I have. Good choice, especially if you have older eyes.

I had a Nikon Buckmaster 4-14.5x40 on my Savage. Wasn't quite happy with the magnification. Swapped it out for a 6-18x40 Buckmaster and am much happier. It's nice to be able to hit that ground squirel at 125 yards in the head, or shoulder, or butt, or.... wherever else you want to put it. The 17's are accurate enough you'll want the higher magnification, trust me.

Thanks for the input. I think I'm going with at least 6-18... Need a silver one to match my stainless gun so it limits my selection. Also the price goes way up. Can't see getting a scope that cost as much as the gun.
