    Marlin XT-22 Stainless Steel

Just wanted to get feedback on these from current owners. A friend and I are looking at buying the bolt action, tube fed, version in stainless steel finish. Seems nice and reviews seem solid. Just never talked to anyone that owned one and shot it. Seems as though they are harder to find in the version we are looking to purchase but I believe I may have a source so not too worried.

I don't have the stainless version just the blued XT-22TR. I love it, mainly because being tube feed it will shoot anything (CCI Quiets, CB shorts, Longs, etc). I can shoot squirrels in my back yard using CCI Quiets and it makes less noise than my air rifle.

I also believe it is slightly more accurate than my 10/22 (it's 4" longer).

Also prefer teaching my 14-yr old to shoot w/ it over the 10/22 - teaches patience and trigger control.

Good info. Thanks for the review. I just convinced a friend to get one. It is out of jail next week. Looking forward to shooting it.
