    just bought troy 22 upper...

    With 5" barrel im going to build a pistol only luke skywalker would appreciate (and me of course.) i havent used it yet but what kind of ammo would you recommend for best accuracy, and what kind of accuracy can i expect out of such a set up? Pretending i am an awesome marksman of course!

    Sweet, I love Troy components. Just make sure to remember to SSE it with a long enough barrel when you first put it together.

    22 is cheap enough that you can buy a small box of 10 different types out of the ammo case and experiment to see which loads your weapon likes the best. It's more fun that way than just being told what works best for other people. Have fun.

          Can you explain more? I built a 10 in 556 ar and just threw it together....

            I believe he is referring to the pistol SSE which requires a minimum barrel length. Hence the 1911 SSE with a super long barrel.

            Just put your .223 pistol upper on the new lower, built as a pistol with a sled. There, you manufactured a legal single shot exempt pistol. Now, switch the uppers and pull the sled. I am assuming the lower you are using is a pistol or virgin lower.

            This is because of the roster.
            Starve the beast, move to a free state.

              Winchester M22 is pretty good if you can find it. Otherwise, any 22LR should be fine. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/290...ead-round-nose

              No one can tell you which is most accurate with your specific barrel. You gotta try them all and find out.
