i just got lucky and bought a winchester 74 semi auto with a lyman 438 field scope. cleaned it up and took to range and had a blast! very accurate, although the scope crosshairs are canted a bit. anyone have knowledge of this rifle? looked at all the sights looking for value, no help, they say anywhere from $100 to $500 . real world price, is $200 fair? will inclide pics if interest warrants, thanks.

I got one off of Gunbroker eight years ago for $209.50 delivered with my C&R FFL. No scope though. A few Calgunners have posted about buying them more recently in the low $300 range.
