does anyone know if the barrel on this thing is threaded into the reciever? or pushed in?

The 455's have set screws that secure the barrel to the action. The CZ website indicates the Evolution will accept all 455 accessory barrels.You can always count on Americans to do the right thing - after they've tried everything else.

Check this link. The CZ 455 barrel is not threaded. You slide the barrel into the receiver and the barrel is secured with set screws.
